10 adults-only guesthouses for a kid-free weekend in Poland

Slowhop Picks: Kid-Free Weekend Spots in Poland

Kids are the nation's future, they'll buy our arthritis pills, they give life meaning—they're sweet, have tiny toes, and smell amazing. Yet even the most devoted parent sometimes wants to pull their hair out, and a mom might trade everything for an uninterrupted chat with a friend and a few extra hours of sleep. Ditch the guilt; you’ve earned this. Go somewhere you can finally sip hot coffee, not reheated dregs. Bring your child-free friends—they'll thank you. We've scoured Poland for cozy spots proudly declaring: we're an adults-only sanctuary, and we're fine with it. Yes, we know what you're thinking: outrage, controversy, that it's discriminatory. We'll answer politely. Remember that scene in Ridley Scott's "A Good Year," when the tourists in the Provençal café ask for fries with ketchup? Russell Crowe replies, "The nearest McDonald's is in Avignon, fish and chips in Marseille. Goodbye!" Don't worry— we're parents too, and for families, we have plenty of child-friendly recommendations. For now, indulge in a little luxe.

Przechowalnia Marzeń (Dream Depot)

Check availability

In this house in Mikołajki there's a lovely bistro, only four rooms, and they serve long tales and breakfast under the apple tree in the orchard. If you just want coffee and cake, the hosts will be happy to see you, but for longer stays, skip bringing little kids. They wouldn't kick you out (they're so friendly), but the Dream Depot is all about safeguarding grown-up dreams. “Fantastic place run by wonderful people! We never tired of the delicious homemade breakfasts over an entire week. The beautiful garden was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or curling up with a book.”

Slowhop’s take:

Be sure to ask Karolina for her list of must-visit eateries. She knows every notable spot on this side of the Vistula River.

Siedlisko Sztuki (Adults’ Sanctuary)

Reserve your stay

Everyone—really everyone—who visits Siedlisko Sztuki comes back enchanted. And here's something you should know: we rarely leave reviews. We’re just too lazy. At Slowhop, we and Ms. Renata are amazed by how eagerly guests rave about this place. It's wild! “We spent ten days in October here with just the two of us and our dog. For much of our stay we had the place to ourselves—luck was on our side! Amazing breakfasts, delicious teas, cozy rooms and a shared lounge. The owner, Ms. Renata, is warm and endlessly chatty—a conversation you never want to end. Our dog was spoiled by everyone, and we all explored the beautiful surroundings together. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED—it's a world-class experience!”

Slowhop’s take:

The package includes views of the Jelenia Góra Valley, excellent food, and yes—you can bring your dog.

Another one of our spots that always gets a standing ovation, and when that happens, you can almost hear Star Wars music. It means there are plenty of people who want to escape together into a luxury tent with zero cell signal and dance barefoot on the dew-soaked grass by the lake every morning. This gem is in the Kashubian region in northern Poland, and we’d love for you to book it through Slowhop. After all, we’re more than a site for hot date ideas... “Wonderful place! The hosts are so kind and helpful. Beyond your own thoughts, you’ll hear only the rustling trees and birdsong. The yurts are spotless and comfy. The same goes for the barrel sauna—what a brilliant idea! You can truly unwind here and disconnect from everything. The surroundings are pristine. Highly recommended!”

Slowhop’s take:

There are two yurts set apart from each other, zero chance of internet, perfect for real kid- and pet-free getaways. And yes, there’s a sauna on site.

ForRest Cabin

Reserve your stay

No need for long intros—the reviews speak for themselves. Want to read them? Check the Forest Cabin profile on Slowhop. This one’s in the woods, so leave the heels and evening dress behind—romance happens in robes (or not!), slippers (or barefoot), by the cozy wood stove. There's one full-length window, overlooking a pine forest, a terrace, and a short walk to the river. If you love lounging around, inside you’ll find a fireplace, a loft bed, interesting coffee-table books, and 35 m² to enjoy. Pssst—in summer you can rent SUP boards. “ForRest Cabin is truly fantastic. The small, beautiful house is ideal for two. It’s perfectly designed with attention to detail and equipped with everything you might need. I was personally charmed by the eco-friendly toiletries, the olive oil, and Himalayan salt in a lovely dish. But the real highlight is the view through the glass wall. The cabin sits in the middle of a forest of tall pine trees draped in moss, lit up beautifully at night. You feel completely alone in the woods. During our stay, we didn’t encounter a single soul. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed.”

Slowhop’s take:

If lounging makes you stiff, grab your hiking boots or a bike and explore. The property is fenced, and you can bring your dog along.

Beskid Masala Wiochotel

Check availability

An extraordinary spot in the Low Beskid Mountains of Poland, blending a touch of India, Polish charm, and pure heaven for weary parents and solo travelers. You’ll find oriental-style rooms with private bathrooms and hosts who’ve seen it all. Friendly folks with calm voices, worldly curiosity, and a craving for more—exactly what we love at Slowhop. “I won’t be original: this place is a dream, perfected in every detail, and Asia and Jacek are like benevolent spirits. You feel like packing your backpack and wandering the world with them. We’ll definitely be back.”

Slowhop’s take:

We’ve been smitten since day one and plan to return soon. Leave the kids and pets at home.

Dom na Łące (House on the Meadow)

Reserve your stay

Dom na Łące is for adults fleeing the noise toward the Rudawy Janowickie range in southwestern Poland. There are three one-bedroom apartments perfect for couples, soothing interiors, and meadows and forest around. No screens or Wi-Fi; signal shows up now and then. Instead, enjoy mountains, a nearby lake, and plenty of scenic views. Recently, they added a greenhouse—you can lounge there on drizzly days, nap, stargaze, or even host a proposal. The hosts are warm and passionate about their interests. Piotr is a ski instructor, so you know where your winter fun starts. “A stunning place where you can truly disconnect from the world! I highly recommend turning off your phone, leaving the car and gadgets behind, lighting a fire, reading a book, and exploring the beautiful surroundings. In winter it’s magical—we had knee-deep snow and perfect sunshine, so we hiked by day and relaxed in the cozy greenhouse by night. We also met Gosia, a friendly, energetic host who made our stay special. Highly recommend!”

Slowhop’s take:

We’re in love with the aesthetics of Dom na Łące—props to Gosia, and of course for the greenhouse, already a fan favorite.

Fajne Miejsce (The Great Place)

Reserve your stay

We recently highlighted Fajne Miejsce among the best spots in Warmia and Masuria, and the hosts were keen to stress they welcome guests from age eight up. That sweet spot when kids know half their times tables and can follow instructions, and most of their food actually makes it to their mouths. “Silence, calm, stunning views. The town is a short walk away on a paved path. A lake is in sight. The house is neat, with minimalist, cozy rooms. The terrace is a brilliant idea. Varied breakfasts delivered to your room with excellent coffee. The hosts are friendly, professional, and hospitable.”

Slowhop’s take:

Enjoy delicious breakfasts in your basket and dishes from Ewa Pe’s kitchen. It's even on the Gault & Millau trail.

Sny i Kamienie (Dreams and Stones)

Reserve your stay

What is Wojtek up to here? Sny i Kamienie feels like a post-corporate therapy for big-city dwellers like us. You want to go where someone’s already done the thinking and now heals with a delicious menu—no meat, no gluten. The place is very zen, and its location in the Suwałki region of northern Poland says it all.

Slowhop’s take:

Rooms are in the old farmhouse, with wooden cabins and tents available in summer. You can bring a dog, as long as it’s well-trained, doesn’t sleep in the bed, or use the sheets.

Stare Gospodarstwo (Old Farmstead)

Reserve your stay

Close to the sea, near lakes, and also ski lifts within reach of Stare Gospodarstwo in northern Poland. The estate itself is truly historic, featuring a 200-year-old barn. It's adults-only and welcomes older teens (16+). “Wonderful place and exceptional hosts. Ania and Paweł are incredibly friendly, ensuring guests lack for nothing. Meals (breakfast and dinner) are delicious, natural, and made from the heart. Stare Gospodarstwo has a fantastic atmosphere, tastefully designed. The cherry on top is the barrel sauna and hot tub, perfect for weekend relaxation. We’ll definitely return!”

Slowhop’s take:

We've booked Stare Gospodarstwo through Slowhop ourselves. The peace and the food won us over. No pets allowed here.
