We’re
renovating!
After seven years of Slowhop, we’ve learned from our Hosts that it’s worth hitting the refresh button every now and then. Replace what’s worn, fine-tune what’s not quite working. And just like our Hosts listen to their Guests, we turned to you for feedback. What’s gotten old, and what could work better? You know best.
So, here it is—a fresh start. We know change isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but we believe that once the renovation dust settles, even our most loyal guests will say, “This was a change for the better.” Come on in and make yourselves at home. We can’t wait to hear what you think!
It’ll be
easier
The catalog’s getting a few shortcuts: faster photo browsing, more visible filters, and a cleaner layout for profiles. Don’t worry—our iconic descriptions are still just as lovingly crafted.
More
local
Slow travel shines in its colors thanks to unique initiatives: ceramics born in Izera barns, the scent of roti bread in the Bystrzyckie Mountains, or Dagmara teaching jazz in Masuria. We’re giving these hidden gems the spotlight they deserve on the new site.
More
responsible
Your Slowhop trips already support local economies, protect heritage, and foster awareness for nature. With our new “To the Roots” program, you’ll be able to dive even deeper into these meaningful experiences.
It'll go
international
You’ve asked for Slowhop abroad—done! Finding those dreamy foreign spots is now easier than ever.
Some things
stay the same
We’re still about Host stories, mindfulness, savoring small joys, and respecting tradition and nature.
Who’s behind this?
Slowhop is a place full of sentiment, and for this redesign, we teamed up with the Third What agency. They captured our nostalgia with a touch of charm: postcards, stamps, and nearly 150 hand-drawn icons. We even added custom diacritics to Polish fonts, ensuring they shine abroad too. The details? That’s the essence of Slowhop. Curious? Check out Third What’s case study for a deeper dive.

What won't change
Our DNA is here to stay—attention to detail and unwavering values. Slowhop will always be about relationships: between Guest and Host, Host and us, place and nature.
Unlike big platforms where distances grow, we’re staying close, celebrating the little things. Like sending postcards from Jasielnik. Or having breakfast at Tatrzański Biegun. And yes, a chicken named Kumpela in Letnia Kuchnia.
You’ll always be able to trust Slowhop blindly. On average, we accept just 20% of the places that apply. A new site doesn’t mean lower standards.
Looking for perfect lawns, mosquito-free zones, and white-glove service? That’s not us. Most of our places are run by real people like you, nestled in rural settings where nature calls the shots.
We’re changing (not only) Polish tourism through commissions from your Slowhop bookings. Want to support us? No need to buy us coffee—just book your next trip through Slowhop. Thank you!
Fun fact
Our colors have names like “sage,” “green apple,” and “pine.” Kasia from UX already snagged a beanie in our “green apple” shade.
Surprise, surprise...
To celebrate the new Slowhop, we teamed up with illustrator Michał Loba for two super-slow projects. One design landed on t-shirts by the Polish brand Wasalaa, and the other turned into a poster by Ładne.co, perfect for your wall.
True to Slowhop’s spirit, we paired pleasure with purpose. From the t-shirt sales, we donated 10,000 zł to the Wzajemnie Pomocni Foundation, which looks after rescued animals like Paczek the otter, Kazakh greyhounds, and a deer named Szczekos. Plus, 15% of the poster proceeds also went to the foundation.
Fun fact
On our “About Slowhop” page, you’ll find out who’s the crossword wizard, whether reading in a deck chair counts as an adventure, and who’s up-to-date on every building trend.
What a
goat!
