Do cats like traveling? About as much as we enjoy overhearing someone else's phone conversation on speaker or a playful elbow jab in the ribs on public transport.
Yet sometimes the cat sitter might bail, there's no plan B, and your group grows by a furry tail, whiskers, and a strong opinion on every topic. Where do you head off with this unexpected new member? We dove into filters, guest reviews, and messages from fellow cat lovers, and we're sharing our ready-made list. Here are 6 handpicked Slowhop spots in Poland where your kitty will enjoy the trip too.
PS We know you've got this covered, but for everyone's peace of mind (yours and your cat's), it's worth running your plan by an animal behaviorist before you go. Gratitude from your purring pal is not guaranteed.

Just look at the photos of Zgredka, a recent guest here, and ask yourself: can those eyes lie? The hosts told us she was delighted! But true to feline form, she showed her excitement with dignified restraint. You rent a 2–4-person cabin with a loft bedroom, designed for a healthy indoor climate (wood, clay plaster, zero PVC) and the comfort of being close to untamed nature. The cabin is all yours, so scattered cat toys won’t raise any eyebrows and your furry friend can explore freely. And you? Lake Majcz is a six-minute bike ride away—you can borrow a bike (or a kayak or SUP) for free—and for breakfast you can help yourself to produce from the organic vegetable garden. You’ll also meet two friendly resident pets: Krecik the dog and Neko the cat.
‘An absolutely unique place. A true sanctuary with great energy :) Peace, space, birdsong. And the cabin? Like something out of a fairytale with a happy ending. We returned wonderfully relaxed and amazed. The hosts were amazing. (...) The dogs and kitties thank you too—it's really hard to find a place where we can travel with them. (...)’

If a man named Ove ever opened a Cat Restoration workshop, like he joked he might in that novel (highly recommended!), this 37-square-meter cabin at the edge of an alder forest would be the perfect spot. First: your cats can claim every corner, strutting around like miniature lions in their own kingdom. Second: it’s completely quiet with the woods as your only neighbor, making it easier for your pet to adapt. On this property, pets have free rein to roam every space (and the hosts even provide paw towels and lint rollers). For you, it’s pure silence, a chance to recalibrate overloaded senses, and simply rest. Here, you can flop onto the bed like a cat attacking a feather and stay there until you’re fully recharged.
‘Beata and Mariusz have created an incredibly atmospheric retreat on the Drawsko Lake District. We spent the last days of 2024 here with our pack—our dog and four cats—in complete peace and quiet. It was our calmest New Year’s Eve ever! Time seemed to slow down :-) The cabin is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The hosts were exemplary. We’ll be back!’

As you know, cats disregard the laws of physics and can morph into a half-liquid state—falling asleep in a flower vase or draping themselves over a chair like a surreal painting by Dalí. Why not try reaching that blissful state of “melting”? Maybe you’ll lounge in a cozy bay window overlooking the woods, read on the terrace, soak in the bubbles of the jacuzzi, or simply sit with a cat on your lap while counting pine needles on the branches outside. Here, instead of keeping guard in a game of cat and mouse, you can let go and play with your kitty, rebuilding your serotonin stores.
‘The cabin we stayed in is very beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of cozy spots. The window nook is a clever way to use space. Our favorite was the barrel bath, and we were thrilled we chose that cabin. The forest view is soothing and allowed us real relaxation. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, so nothing was missing—and our cats felt the same :)’

If our stays were cats, this place would be a charming Bengal. Just like Bengals wow with their coat, this house wins hearts with its stylish interiors and a vibe that feels more like visiting close friends than checking into a hotel. It’s incredibly dog-friendly, and kitties are welcome too. Just note there’s a loft and stairs, so it suits pets used to heights. If your cat loves roaming green spaces, you have a large terrace and a huge meadow leading straight to the forest. For you: a well-stocked library, board games, delicious teas, and even a telescope for stargazing! PS The host offers handmade cat bowls that won’t irritate whiskers <3
‘Visiting this cottage feels like dropping in on friends with impeccable taste and artistic flair. Colorful and cozy. It’s stocked with spices, coffee, tea, cosmetics, games, books—even emergency pasta and sauce in a drawer. There’s a shopping bag and headlamps, plus plenty of firewood. The location is perfect for hiking. The hosts were super helpful, even arranging a surprise birthday celebration. Friendly and kind.’

Is your Mr. Meowgi fond of leash walks? Bingo—you have some 12 hectares of green to explore. In this hamlet of century-old wooden houses, you can rent an apartment or go all out and book the entire house, enjoying full freedom and natural construction (yes, breathable clay plasters included). Here’s another bonus: rescue pets get discounts (just ask when booking), so put your savings toward special treats for your cat. You can rest like a stone, but if you ever need to burn off energy, bikes and SUPs are available at extra cost.
‘A truly recommendable place! Silence and calm, only the sounds of nature so close. We were there with our cat Mariola, who found the sand at the entrance as fun as a kids' pool :). We were lucky to have the whole hamlet to ourselves. A 100% mental reset. The host and staff deserve top marks. When you share good energy, it reflects in everything you create around you. You can feel it here. We’ll definitely return :)’

If your cat loves cozy spots hidden in the forest, head here. The bio-inspired interiors soothe with open spaces and no demanding sensory distractions. And as you can see, it’s simply beautiful. Just note that Loszak’s house has open stairs and a wide railing, so it suits kitties used to heights. And what’s in store for your feline VIP? After enough ear scratches, you can relax in the hot tub (included, 24/7!), watch squirrels from a hammock (regulars here), or lose yourself in golden oldies spinning on the record player. We also recommend ordering ready-made dinners from the neighbor Inga—with delivery right to your door.
‘This place is absolutely unique! Location 10/10, cabin 10/10, surroundings 10/10. We’ve stayed in several rental cabins, but this one beats them all—the design is so well thought-out that the stay is pure pleasure. We were there with two cats, who also stamp their approval—they loved it :) Highly recommended for anyone who wants to escape the city and recharge!’
