Residents of West Pomerania are truly fortunate. They have 185 km of coastline, six landscape parks, one and a half national parks (Wolin and part of Drawski) and at least two proper islands. And most exciting for us is the region that makes our hearts race: the Drawsko Lake District.
If you’re from Szczecin or Poznań, you probably know this place well. But few visitors from southern Poland have dipped a toe in one of its crystal-clear lakes. It’s worth it. Take Drawsko, Poland’s second-deepest lake, the medieval island-packed Gągnowo, or Siecino, famed for its pure, transparent waters. And that’s just the start—there are over 250 lakes here. Add some of the country’s densest forests, 12 nature reserves, 300 natural monuments, Drawa Landscape Park, and even a slice of Switzerland: the Połczyn Switzerland microregion with its Valley of Five Lakes, 200-meter morainic hills, and the source of the Drawa River. Sounds good; it looks even better.
We invite you to explore all the spots in the Drawsko Lake District. Below, you’ll find eight stays where you’ll sleep well and fully feel the spirit of this land.

Legend has it that Gronowo village is frozen in the 1920s. Don’t worry—there’s electricity and running water. Osada pod Lipą sits here, between Lake Siecino and Lake Dołgie: 6 km to the first and about 3 km to the second. You can stroll or grab one of the on-site bikes for a ride. With so many natural and scenic attractions nearby, you won’t be bored. Check their profile for more.
The place is gorgeous! Silence, peace, surrounded by forests and lakes… A paradise for cyclists, hikers, and dogs. In the evening a fox strolls by the window; in the morning you hear cranes and hoopoes. There’s a lovely orchard with a hammock, and beyond it, expansive meadows, woods, and glades to wander all day. The apartment is beautifully and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive. We were thrilled, and our dog was too. We’re already planning our next visit…

There are three apartments here, each accommodating up to six guests. Pets are welcome.

They call it the house that’s nowhere. Expect lush greenery, walking access to quiet lakes, and the thrill of spotting wildlife eyes in the forest. Six villagers and Beata the cat live in Węglin, and you (up to 8 people) can rent this two-bedroom house with a terrace, well-equipped kitchen, and quaint garden. A forest lake is 15 minutes on foot; one with a beach is just a bit farther. For adventure, try kayaking in Ińsko Landscape Park, hiking in Drawa Landscape Park, or cycling the Greenway Necklace of the North trail.

Ideal for families—kids, dogs, and cats included.

A guesthouse run by locals Agnieszka and Mariusz, perfect for three traveler types. First: those with allergies—this is a pet-free zone. Second: seekers of peace—this off-the-beaten-path retreat is for adults and teens (12+), with no barking or loud noise. Third: nature lovers—Bagno Ciemino reserve starts just steps away, three lakes are nearby, and the hosts know the best kayak routes.

They offer baskets of local treats and, upon request, full meals. Ask the hosts about options.

Wilcza Ostoja is a thoughtfully laid-out retreat of several cabins set on a 10,000 m2 forested plot, offering privacy and quiet. Besides Szara Wilczyca, you’ll find two smaller cabins in the settlement (here). Szara Wilczyca spans 70 m2 with a double bedroom, a mezzanine sleeping area, a kitchen, bathroom, and living-dining space. There’s a large terrace and a covered veranda—ideal for long breakfasts, afternoon naps, or evening card games. Lake Siecino is just 200 meters away, with a secluded beach and two piers. Kayaking on the Drawa River is also close by.
Our baby’s first holiday was wonderful. And if you know how it goes with a three-month-old, you know that’s a big compliment. We’ll definitely return!

Pets are welcome, but note that the cabins aren’t fenced—your furry friend might meet other guests or animals. Keep that in mind.
Breakfast lovers, unite! Stary Młyn Strzeszyn has room for everyone. There are 22 rooms for couples, duos, families with kids or pets. Enjoy eco-friendly meals—lots of fresh, tasty dishes so no one goes hungry. There are boats, bikes, two lakes on your doorstep, a sauna, gym, and all the eastern Drawsko Lake District to explore.
Fantastic! Even the drive to the mill—a stony road through the woods—sets the tone for escaping city life. The lakes, nature, and horses are all enchanting, but what we loved most was the freedom: you just grab a kayak, paddle boat, rowboat, SUP board, or bike—no booking needed. We felt right at home. Highly recommended.

We especially recommend this spot to horse lovers—there’s a stable on site, and you can explore the scenery from horseback.

A private house for six in a former school building. Three things win us over: total seclusion, a pond at your doorstep, and a herd of wild horses roaming just outside the fence. We understand the rave reviews: imagine mornings with coffee and bare legs dangling off the pier, al fresco lunches, and walks through meadows where wildlife often appears. Pure relaxation.
This house has unique charm and offers endless ways to relax—active or laid-back. The kitchen is fully equipped, there’s a fireplace in the living room, and the furnishings are chosen with care. Spacious rooms, a lovely garden, and above all, spotlessly clean and cozy. Host Iza is always available and helpful. We’ll be back and will recommend it to friends.

You’re just a few kilometers from the Dolina Pięciu Jezior nature reserve, with its five lakes and the Drawa River spring. We highly recommend dALL for anyone looking to immerse themselves in wild nature.

We move to the southern part of Drawa Landscape Park, to Głęboczek on the shores of Lake Krosino. On the outskirts, you’ll find a private villa with a stunning pool, a pier, and a garden. The hosts designed it for modern comfort, group gatherings, and closeness to nature. The house sits within two protected zones—“Natura 2000 – Czaplineckie Lakes” and “Drawska Sanctuary.” Here you can spot black storks, cranes, eagle owls, white-tailed eagles, and various forest wildlife. If that’s not enough, there’s an on-site spa with a Finnish sauna and steam room, plus a wooden playground castle—a real hit with kids.
A wonderful place. Beautiful lake, pier, and view. Super space for kids to play. No neighbors, just forest and nature. The glass-walled villa with its fantastic saunas is incredible. Highly recommend.

Great for a family getaway or a friends’ trip—up to eight people can stay in three bedrooms. Note: no pets here.

This spot lives up to its name—closer to the lake you can’t get. If you’re after a simple, beautiful scenario—“a lakeside cottage for four”—your search ends here. You can see the water’s surface from the terrace, so even in bad weather you can spend the day outdoors under cover, watching birds skimming the lake. And when the sun’s out, you know the drill: jumps, rowing, and lounging on the pier.
An incredibly charming spot. A small cottage with a large terrace designed for outdoor living—even in rainy weather, we stayed outside. Our kids (9 and 13), who rarely put down their phones, were hooked on lakeside life. We had a fantastic time at the House under the Pear Tree.

Bring your dog, but check in advance and note that the cottage is surrounded by an unmowed meadow.
