Jar lovers and jam enthusiasts—time to raid the pantry! If:
– you’re foodies who appreciate dishes made with heart,
– you’d rather walk on quicksand than eat supermarket preserves (it’s not the same as grandma’s),
– for you, a holiday souvenir is local flavors sealed in a jar…
…we’re on the same page, because we have a match <3
Here’s our selection of Slowhop spots where you can not only taste a range of preserves made by the hosts, but also bring them home. No visiting neighbors or “just 25 km away” trips needed. You arrive, sample, then pack your bag with jars to sweeten your winter nights and ease that pre-spring craving for fresh fruits and veggies. Sound good?

In a nutshell:
Organic agritourism in a forested area in Warmia, with full board included. They’re building an edible forest! Ideal for a deep nature reset or a family getaway.
This is the place that inspired this roundup. When Barwia started hosting tastings of her own blackcurrant, raspberry, and sweet orange preserves at home, Ela—the host—received so many praise-filled MMS messages that “jam porn” seemed like the only fitting label for that gallery of compliments. And let me tell you, there’s plenty to ooh and aah over. Step into the summer kitchen: on the left you’ll find a guest cupboard and shelves buckling under the weight of homemade jars—both Ela and David’s, and those from local organic producers. Here you can buy homemade jams, juices, pickled pears, marinated mushrooms, plus tasty rapeseed oil, organic oats, and various grains. Be sure to leave extra space in your backpack because the quality is top-notch, prices are a steal, and you’ll thank yourself later when you pop open these goodies in winter. Fun fact: the hosts are creating an edible forest!
“We recently visited Letnia Kitchen homestead—a unique spot created by Ela and David. A perfect place to rest away from the city. A large garden, lounge chairs, nature. Everything matched the hosts’ description. We have very positive feelings, especially about the meals! Every day, the hosts surprised us by serving Polish-French breakfasts and dinners based on local and homegrown products. Everyone found something for themselves, and each evening after dinner we looked forward to the dessert David and Ela would surprise us with. One of the best Slowhop places for cuisine. I’m impressed how, throughout our stay, they managed to create such a warm, family atmosphere. We simply felt good there. This is a place where you can truly unwind.”

In brief:
Three cottages on a meadow in the Low Beskids, in the middle of nowhere. They feed you so well that more than one guest literally licked their plates. Bring the kids. Full board included <3
Our Zosia would bet her hand (symbolically, of course) that this place is a dream for foodies. And you don’t have to part ways with these flavors when you leave—thanks to Mrs. Bronka and Mrs. Krysia, you can take home plenty of jars. Their list of wonders includes blackberry and blackcurrant jam, elderflower juice, bundz cheese, cottage cheese, freshly churned butter (!), and treats like pickled mushrooms and plum jam with cinnamon <3. Go ahead, try to convince us we didn’t just make your mouth water. Head to one of the three cottages (or book a single room), sit out on the Beskid meadow, and savor the local flavors, the soothing silence of the scenery, and the warm atmosphere the hosts create. We have a feeling you’ll want to come back.
“A wonderful place—exactly what a dream holiday or a few days’ escape should be. Beautiful interiors, peaceful views, delicious food, spotless cleanliness, and harmony. We regret having to leave. Best regards, and see you soon.”

In a nutshell:
Almost a 300-year-old under-eaves house, rated five stars 98 times. You’ll eat delicious, healthy food, and you can treat yourself to Ayurvedic and lomi lomi massages. Ideal rural retreat.
Here it’s hard to call it ordinary food, because every meal feels like a small celebration. The hosts prepare vegetarian breakfasts and dinners with love, serving their own preserves, pickles, syrups, and fermented veggies. From the pantry come treasures like pear jam with ginger and cardamom, pumpkin jam with orange, apple with elderberries, or homemade granola that’s the perfect partner for these tempting jars. Also on the menu are vegetable spreads—from beetroot hummus to roasted carrot cream. And the best part: you can pack up some of these delights—syrups, spiced teas, or jams return home with guests in jars, a lasting reminder of Warmia. In short: arrive hungry, leave happy and laden with delicious souvenirs.

A family-friendly guesthouse where you eat well, healthily, and plenty (all included!). Biebrza National Park is right next door, a lake is nearby, and bikes are waiting on-site.
Our Ola-Chief remembers: “Guests line up at checkout to buy supplies—jams, beet kvass, you name it.” It all started when the hosts began producing most of their food to avoid industrial products. Then it snowballed, and they had to smartly organize a pantry to store all those jarred goodies. And you should know: the food here earns nods from seasoned foodies—and, luckily for everyone, you can take it home. Jars hold roasted beets, chocolate plum jam, gooseberry jam, ginger in raw sugar, homemade ketchup, and other delicacies. There’s plenty to do nearby too. You can stroll Biebrza National Park, dive into the local lake, listen for wolf howls from the balcony, or join the host for a forest bathing session. Make room in your bag and come on over.
“One of those places you want to return to. The food—there’s no way to describe it, all fresh, local products, delicious and perfectly made. Thank you for preparing the delicious birthday cake. We’re satisfied in every aspect. Kind and professional staff. Quiet, peaceful, and the charming setting. Highly recommended. It was a family stay.”

In brief:
A proper farm stay near Morąg, with breakfasts included. Come for outstanding cheeses, milk, kefirs, and other homemade treats. 140 goats waiting to be cuddled.
As with any eco-farm centered on goats, it’s tasty, healthy, and filling. Hosts Kasia and Grzegorz bake sourdough bread, serve yogurt pancakes, jams, and preserves from homegrown fruits, and the table always features cheeses—from creamy ricotta and herb-infused bundz to aged specialties. Take your time enjoying breakfast: savor fresh apple juice that was still on the branch half an hour earlier in the orchard. Save room for Oberländer quark with raspberries or seasonal dishes. After the feast, take an evening walk with the goats, dive into Lake Narie, or in summer, disappear into the raspberry thicket with a cup of yogurt in hand. In every jar, loaf, and cheese wheel, you’ll taste the passion that turns memories into dreamy moments and gentle goat belly rubs into heartwarming keepsakes.
“Many thanks to the hosts for an incredible time. We ate like bears before hibernation and cuddled every possible goat. The goats are so sweet, and it’s clear they’re content—how could you not rejoice with them? Mrs. Bożenka fed us with such love, I’m now afraid to step on the scales. The hosts helped us get from Morąg when we didn’t have a car, and always answered our questions. We recommend this little slice of paradise to every lover of animals and cheese.”

Here you’ll sleep, eat, and relax in style. This nearly 200-year-old palace welcomes you in restored interiors and invites you to unwind in its spa area. But most of all, it entices with exquisite breakfasts (included) and its signature workshop, where you can replenish your stock of jams, lemonades, liqueurs, syrups, herbal teas, and other jarred delights. There’s even the Vodka and Liqueur Factory Museum, where you can sample spirits. Beyond culinary pleasures, enjoy recreational options in the 9-hectare park—like rowing a boat on the lake.
“It was fantastic! Silence, tranquility, the rustle of trees, and birdsong outside the window were exactly what we were looking for—and we weren’t disappointed! Beautifully restored interiors, a large well-maintained park, plus delicious breakfasts and preserves from the Manufactory. Also, quick and hassle-free communication with reception—both online and in person. We also enjoyed massages and wholeheartedly recommend them. We will definitely come back!”

A holiday home for up to 20 guests, perfect for idyllic vacations. A private lake with a dock and boat, a library, and a home theater. Just come and unwind.
Here’s our new Slowhop gem: a cozy holiday house tucked away in Warmia, where no one leaves hungry. The hosts start each day baking—since they once ran a bakery in the capital—to bring rye and spelt bread, fragrant coconut and chocolate pastries, or cinnamon-streusel cake to the table. Add their homemade granola with garden fruits, fresh veggies from the patch, and herbal infusions instead of regular tea. In autumn, they preserve summer in jars—jams, compotes, and pickles become an art form, and guests can join in making their own “jam porn,” returning home with self-made supplies. There’s more than just food: a private dock for lake swims, forest walks with plant identification, riverbed hikes, and communal mushroom foraging. Doesn’t that sound like a perfect definition of an idyllic getaway?

In a nutshell:
A Masurian farm stay set on 9 hectares of meadows. Your taste buds will throw the event of the year here. Wonderful recreational surroundings.
If you’re the kind of person who thinks the best aroma is homemade cooking, let your nose lead you here—there’s a host of scents worthy of bottling. No joke: the permaculture garden and orchard produce are processed 365 ways, and the hosts even make their own cheeses, yogurts, and craft beer! On site is a small shop-gallery where you can stock up on local honey, liqueurs, and various preserves, as well as handmade toys, bags, natural cosmetics, and herbs from Masurian meadows. You get an original and ethical souvenir, and the locals get economic support. Pack your bags and head off to delight your palate and your heart.
“We left Agrozagadka today, and we already miss this place and the food. A wonderful Masurian Bullerby. Our kids spent the day running around the garden, eating currants and raspberries off the bush, jumping on hay, and roaming freely because the area is completely safe and homely. They fed the chickens and collected their eggs. They picked ripe zucchinis from the garden and brought them to the owners. And the hosts—what wonderful people, who pour their hearts into this place, and it shows at every turn. The food was so good we’ll be dreaming about it for a long time. Maciek and Monika didn’t have to, but when they heard our kids were selective eaters, they prepared breakfast dishes just for them (no green sauce and all that). Even if I tried, I couldn’t find a flaw here. Other guests staying at the same time are regulars who come back year after year. It’s no wonder—you can’t help but become one. Highly recommended.”
