We promised another installment of Baltic coastal gems; here are the treasures unearthed from the sand. We’ve covered Szczecin and Koszalin, and now we’ve moved east of Słupsk. This one’s for fans of Poland’s middle and eastern shores. We hope you’ll find something you like—a historic house, a farmstead with great food, a bit of de luxe herring, and a few modern apartments. Check out atmospheric spots on Western Pomerania here

Let’s be precise: Folwark Jackowo is located in Kashubia in northern Poland, but as close to the beach as you can get—about 5 km away. One of its perks (among many) is being near the sea while staying far enough from the aroma blend of smoked mackerel and waffle with fruit preserves. At Folwark Jackowo you’ll find a different coastal world: horse lovers, people into balance and wholesome food.

19 minutes by car to Stilo Lighthouse, 11 km to Kopalino. You can bring your dog, and we’d ask for a greenhouse room if we were you.
"Beautiful, wonderful! An incredible atmosphere from the first step on the farm. Breathtaking landscape. Vast spaces, forests, meadows. There’s something for everyone: horses, dogs, cats, tractors, and in the evening you can have tea in the company of two storks strolling across the farm. Delicious meals served on the terrace with a stunning view. Silence, peace... Kids run free and dogs roam as they please. Everyone is treated the same, like family. Even though we stayed for ONLY three days, we felt at home. You can truly recharge your batteries here for the weeks ahead. Beautiful, wonderful!"

We won’t sugarcoat it—finding peace in seaside towns is like looking for a needle in a haystack. But sometimes you get lucky. Like here in Odargowo, 4.5 km from the beach at Dębki. That’s about a 20-minute bike ride at a leisurely pace. You can breathe in some sea breeze, grab a waffle (we know where they’re the best), soak up the sun, then retreat to blissful quiet. Some ambitious guests end up spending their days in the garden, sauna, or on the terrace, listening to the local birdsong—or, more rarely, working out in the home gym.
Slowhop says:
A house for up to 10 family members or friends. Amenities include a sauna, gym, home cinema with Netflix, and a fast teleport option to the sea, a river, or a lake.
"A wonderful place, exceptionally cozy and detailed down to the last touch. Peaceful rest at a very high level. Everything was arranged so we felt like we were at mom’s. ;) A huge plus is the space, warm interior, fully equipped kitchen, and absolute darkness around the house at night. Escaping the city for those days was exactly what we needed, and the hosts delivered. The house is enormous—ten people can easily find their spot. Huge bonus for cleanliness and freshness! Thank you for the hospitality. :D"

What comes to mind when you hear Kopalino? We think of the most beautiful bike routes we’ve pedaled, wallpaper-perfect dunes, and beaches that look like a TV set. There are three cabins here, side by side, and they’re perfect for anyone who loves clean, modern design. Nothing’s missing—not even a sauna. The beach is exactly 3 km away. Along the way you can grab an ice cream, then build as many sandcastles as you like.

Three cabins, each for six holidaymakers. Best to bring friends so everyone gets their own space. No pets allowed.
"We highly recommend this spot for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature. The ‘High Noon’ cabin is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The living-room swing stole our hearts. There are books, board games, a hammock on the lawn, a fruit platter waiting for guests, and plenty of sunshine inside and out—everything that completes a perfect stay. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with a toilet—great so you don’t have to run downstairs to the bathroom. The beach is a 10-minute bike ride, 5 minutes by car, or 40 minutes on foot. A wide white-sand beach and excellent bike trails all around—definitely planning to come back!"

Here’s a secret: Sobieszewo Island is magical. Once run by Grandma Wiktoria, famed for the best fish in the area, the place is now in the capable hands of Monia & Marcin. Hosting is a family tradition—you only have to read the reviews. Mornings at Viktoria smell of fresh bread, sweet rolls, and coffee sipped on a deckchair. You’re a stone’s throw from the river and just 1 km from the Baltic Sea. Hop on a bike, head to the Mewia Łacha Nature Reserve, and with a bit of luck spot seals, beavers, or terns. Seeing a seal in Poland is like hitting the jackpot.

An uber-hospitable place run by people who love what they do. First-class breakfasts. If you crave city life, downtown Gdańsk is just half an hour away. Dogs welcome.
"A beautiful spot with wonderful hosts. Viktoria Dom na Wyspie offers a comfortable escape from the bustle (yet Gdańsk’s center is just 30 minutes away for those who miss the city vibe). Perfect for anyone craving peace, long walks on the beach or in the woods. This place is truly dog-friendly—our Precel has never been so spoiled! The house is tastefully decorated, and in the Gdynia suite we had everything we needed. Breakfasts at Sztukawa are world-class—wish they never ended! Highly recommended."

We know some of you remember seaside spots filled with layered carpets and dinosaur antlers. Time for a makeover. Komorebi is a balm for the soul tired of mediocrity. Everything here fits together—wood, natural materials, braided accents, rattan furniture. The terrace invites thoughts of “never leaving” and “pass the wine.” The setting is pure countryside, and you’re close not only to Baltic beaches but also to the “Kashubian Sea” lake. Pack your bikes—the coastal trails here are unbeatable—and don’t miss the kayak trip down the Piaśnica River to the Baltic Sea.

Did you know there’s a nudist beach in Dębki? Just saying.
"A wonderful place! The cabins are perfect in every detail and the hosts great to deal with. A delicious cake was waiting for us, with a crackling fire in the fireplace. The terrace was ideal for spotting flocks of cranes—an amazing sight ❤️ Great base for the sea, but the local area is full of surprises too :) We’ll definitely be back!"

Here you’ll find six apartments scented with pine and sea air. We look for these quieter spots, and anyone who’s been to the Polish coast knows it’s not easy. The hosts are delightful and do everything to make you comfortable. In summer it’s especially great for families.

Just 300 m from the beach. They also cater to allergy-sensitive guests—no pets, please.
"Maximum stars possible! A wonderful place: quiet, set apart from the hustle of typical resorts, yet so close to the beach—you can walk through the forest to Rowy. The beach is beautiful and cliff-backed, offering shade until noon and plenty of sunny spots too. Dom na Wydmach is lovely, with new, tastefully decorated apartments that smell fresh and clean. Staying here is pure pleasure. The grounds are pristine, the grass manicured, the sky above always blue. And the hosts—attentive, kind, providing safety without ever intruding. I’m so glad I found this incredible place; I wholeheartedly recommend it and will return. Greetings to Agnieszka, Dora, and Robert—thank you for letting me unwind!"

Here’s the plan: grab one of the bikes on site, pedal 500 m along a county road, then head through the forest to an empty beach. We visited in summer and didn’t see a single beach umbrella. The sand is like the Maldives. The house once belonged to Kasia’s grandparents; now she and Dagmar live upstairs and welcome you to two ground-floor apartments. Inside you’ll find family mementos from Grandpa Staszek and Grandma Ala. Guests rave about the warm atmosphere and can’t stop talking about the homemade pastries—fruit buns, apple pie, you name it. Read the reviews (but not on an empty stomach).

You’ll receive a welcome basket of local goodies. Close to the dunes in Lubiatowo, Stilo Lighthouse, and countless Baltic coast bike trails. Pure bliss.
"A great weekend by the sea! The house is beautiful and atmospheric, and the village is calm and quiet :-) The hosts are very kind! We were impressed by the welcome package in the fridge—local products, all fresh and delicious! We also got homemade pastries that were simply heavenly :-) We loved the forest walk to the beach on a lightly trafficked path—a perfect escape to truly relax and unwind."

Chatka pod Sosnami joined our collection in spring 2018 and swept us off our feet. Guests flocked to it like boars to pinecones, and we can’t blame them. We love holidays like this. The cabin sits on a cluster of small summer homes but faces the forest. It can host two friendly families and is truly wonderful.

In Kopalino. Four bedrooms, two floors, a nice garden with a playground. No pets.
"When we handed back the keys, Ewa and Marcin asked what could be improved. We thought hard and… found nothing! The place is absolutely charming—silent, peaceful, fully comfortable. We woke to birdsong and fell asleep to crickets. Morning coffee on the terrace tastes divine… as does afternoon and evening coffee :) The cabin has everything—espresso machine, blender, full kitchenware, dishwasher, washing machine, grill, hammock. The beach is about 3 km away, but the best (less crowded, wilder, forest-framed) entrances are a bit farther. Bike rental is ideal, or you can drive and walk too. The cabin also has books and games for all ages—we never even opened ours! There’s plenty to explore nearby, and we recommend the Łeba Park with dinosaurs for kids—non-tacky fun for a full day :) (we do advise against Sea Park). The hosts are super friendly! We can’t wait to return :)"

At Mrs Lidia’s Sielska Chata, it’s all about tasty, eco-friendly food. The sea is only a moment away, and the cottage sits between two lakes, close to Łeba. We’ve never seen such a giant sandbox. There are 12 rooms and apartments, and the hosts love to dream up extra activities for guests.

The sea is about 2 km away. A perfect family spot—each household will feel well cared for both culinarily and culturally. Hosts Mrs Lidka and Mr Zbyszek take great care. Dogs welcome.
"A great option for anyone seeking quiet—located outside the center and away from crowds, yet offering everything you need for a restful stay. Fantastic breakfast, definitely worth the price. Very friendly atmosphere and plenty of activities for kids."

In Nowęcin, near Łeba, you’ll find five stylish cottages overlooking meadows. Perfect for those who prefer sleek, modern 21st-century design over old-school antiques. The hosts live nearby, but you can have the place to yourself for as long as you like.

Between Sarbsko and Łebsko lakes, close to the beach. One cottage is dog-friendly; the rest are allergy-friendly.
"Cozy, tasteful cottages on a secluded site :) The clean, charming interiors make you want to stay forever. Gorgeous sunsets on the terrace, in the glass bedroom, or in a hammock are guaranteed! Great for family getaways or romantic escapes. Everyone will relax here—we didn’t even want to leave our cottage. And the host, Mrs Weronika, is so friendly she’ll happily join you for a beer on the terrace and share fascinating stories! Highly recommended :)"
