5 exceptional stays in Poland’s Table Mountains

5 exceptional stays in Poland’s Table Mountains

Places to know before your trip

When you think of the Table Mountains, you picture Szczeliniec Wielki, Pradziad’s Armchair, the Errant Rocks, and those gravity-defying formations Peter Weir might have filmed. There’s even a hint of the eerie—in Hell’s Gully we spotted snow in May, not to mention Hell’s Kitchen and the Needle’s Ear arch. The first visitors arrived here in the 18th century, but back then the accommodations weren’t nearly as inviting. Many of these spots may already be on your radar, but we’re repeating them to make your search easier on Slowhop or anywhere online. You’ll find a handful of dog-friendly guesthouses, some farm stays, and a few holiday homes. Come explore.

Kowalowe Wzgórze

Check availability

Kasia from Kowalowe Wzgórze is probably tired of us mentioning her—just in the past two months, we’ve featured her place in roundups of top family farm stays and Sudety getaways. We love Kowalowe Wzgórze—it shines as brightly as the sun over the Table Mountains. “Amazing spot for families! Wonderful hosts, a great vibe, and lovely animals. If you've ever missed farm life or want to show your kids nature’s beauty, put this place on your map. We'll definitely be back and will recommend it to friends.”

Slowhop thinks:

There’s a full barnyard of animals there—no need to pack your own pets.

Centrum Łąkowa 1

Book now

We’d like to call this one of those inspiring spots, but that sounds like agency hype, so we’ll just say: go there if you feel something’s missing in your life. From dawn you get views of the Table Mountains, a great coffee, and breakfast served at a communal table with fellow enthusiasts—and we’re not just talking about the hosts. Though the owners are from Kraków, they know every stone around here. They’ve got the local maps memorized and, after a quick chat, can recommend the perfect route for your day. In the area there are 50 km of groomed cross-country trails and excellent running terrain. One of the few dog-friendly spots in the Table Mountains—really dog-friendly: the interiors are even set up for four paws, and no one bats an eye if your dog barks. Full understanding. “Perfect place for nature lovers. A peaceful oasis away from the city. Super friendly hosts. Our dog ran off all its energy and we returned relaxed—with sore calves :) Highly recommend!”

Slowhop thinks:

Obviously, bring your dog. Tasty breakfasts, access to the kitchen and fridge—just pack your running shoes.

It’s hard to beat the location in the Table Mountains. If you love art deco interiors, practice Ayurveda, and start the day with sun salutations, this is your spot. Word is that adults who know the art of unwinding here rest best, or anyone who wants to practice mindfulness but doesn’t know where to start. This is it. Your well-being is looked after with two saunas, a hot tub, a fitness and meditation room, an aromatherapy bed, and hosts with a holistic approach to life. “A wonderful, inspiring place—and so are the hosts. Andrram lets you disconnect, find peace, relax, and connect with nature. Everything here is designed for comfort and ease. Rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated. The views from Andrram’s windows are breathtaking. Nearby trails invite you to explore the Table Mountains. But it’s the people who make this place special—huge thanks to Marek and Andrzej for their warm but unobtrusive care, always helpful and smiling [...]”

Slowhop thinks:

Fantastic views of the Łężycka Savannah and Narożnik, and a stone’s throw from the Table Mountains’ trails. Warning: plan to oversleep! Leave kids and alarms at home. Here, we respect REM cycles and unplanned naps.

A genuine farm stay with cows and fresh milk in Radków. Fans of Scandinavian simplicity, white interiors, and sweeping views of the Table Mountains will love it. “A very lovely place, friendly hosts, peace and quiet. Excellent base for exploring the Table Mountains and Lower Silesia.”

Slowhop thinks:

Dogs aren’t allowed here either.

House Under the Rock

Ready to book?

Tucked under a rock, this modern gem is available for full rental, with hosts who know design, handmade crafts, and upcycling. You step in and wonder why you never painted a pipe in bold magenta—who’d have thought it would look so good? Among the perks: a wine cellar for emergencies and delivery of groceries straight to your door. “Space, light, forest views framed by windows, and modern décor honed to perfection (so-called design :D) — I’ve been to many atmospheric places, but House Under the Rock is on another level. The location is a fantastic base—during a week’s stay we ticked off a new sight every day. Huge plus for excellent facilities for kids! Only thing missing was an oversized sofa to collapse on after a day of adventures.”
